Wow, it sure has been awhile since my last post!!
My "business" is doing well...has gotten busier now that it's closer to winter...
Doing a lot of "pay it forward" things lately.
Kiddies are getting big!!
Love my family to death!!!

Dirty 30

It has been awhile since my last small blog...been busy with projects!!!
My son is just getting so big and my daughter is following right behind.
I went outside the other night, and my son followed me. I told him he couldn't be outside as he didn't have a shirt or shoes on and he said "otay mommy" and in about 5 minutes came back to the door and had a shirt and shoes on...getting to smart for his own good.
My daughter the other day looked at me pointing at our dog, Diesel and he was up somewhere he shouldn't be and she yelled "die's get down" and she's not even 2 yet...
They are both getting so big and smart and I love them so so much!!! Them and my hubby are my life!!!
I've been working on so many different things lately that my head is getting pulled into so many different directions. I finally sat down and decided that the projects I had started I am going to finish before I start a new one. I need to get a lot done and in a short time so I need to start managing my time better...so will be getting alot accomplished in the next few weeks...
Very excited for things that are happening...
Oh and my 30th bday is coming up on Saturday (June 9th) and I get to spend it at a baseball tournament!!! Lucky Me!!!
I guess turning 30 isn't so bad. I've accomplished a lot in my life this far and it's only getting better. My hubby and I want to have another baby so I guess we shouldn't wait to long...want to be able to enjoy our little ones!!!
Love My CSI and baby that is being thought about!!! LOL

I was in Brantford the other day and was at the FreshCo grocery store. While checking out there was a girl in front of us with three young children. She had two gift cards totalling $20 and it came to her last item of a bag of broccoli. She was going to leave it behind and I said no go ahead and put it on her order and I paid for the rest of the amount owing. I gave the cashier a toonie and told the girl she could have the change. The girl thanked me and said she really appreciated it! Her little boy was happy too cause he really wanted the broccoli. Then we checked out and went on our way.
On our way home decided to go through the Tim Horton's drive thru. I order a large frozen lemonade, a snack pack of 10 timbits and a peanut butter cookie. She told me my total was $5.37 see you at the window. There was another car in front us and we had to wait...while waiting Sawyer said he wanted juice so I was going to have the girl add a peach juice to my order. When I got to the window and was just about to ask her to add a juice to my order and hand her the $10 bill she told me that the car in front of us had paid for my order.
I couldn't believe it! A HUGE smile came across my face, and I asked her if she was being serious.
It just goes to show that there are some genuine and gracious people in this world. Can't believe that it happened to me!!!
Guess Paying It Forward does exist...and I know it wasn't the girl from the store!!!

Discountinued....

So why is it everytime you find something you like, they discontinue it...
One of my fav yarns is being discontinued by Benat and replacing it with a different yarn that I think is not any better...
if it's not broke dont fix it!!!

Sweet Angels

Each and every day I miss my sweet Angel and hope that he is doing well in Heaven. Today as I was on Facebook, a friend of mine had a link to another sweet baby angel who was a miracle to all...Avery. She was born with a very rare diesease SMA (Spinal Musculary Atrophy). She lost the battle here on earth but continues to be an inspiration to all.
Then I read about another sweet baby girl, Noelle has defied the odds and is making memories with her Mommy and Daddy as I write this...
Noelle was not expected to even make it out of Mommy's womb...and yet she fought hard and is home now with Mommy and Daddy and they continue to be a strong family!!!

It has been 4 years (Sept 28) that we lost our sweet angel and I miss him more and more each day. They say it gets easier but it hasn't yet...May 12th will be his 4th birthday.
When I look Sawyer and Ireland I am so greatful for all the memories we have made and continue to make each day, and just wish that my baby boy could be here with us making them too!!!
You are and will forever be in our hearts and thoughts and we love you and miss you each and every day!!!

Meant to Bee....

I was just asked to make wedding favors for a friend of mine for her wedding in August!!!
I am super excited...never done anything like this and I have to make 150 of the favors. Don't want to give it away until after the wedding...so you will all have to wait till August 26th to see photos of what is being made!!!
I'm so excited you would think it was my wedding!!!

Buzz Buzz Busy Bee

Wow! So in the last 36 hours I've had 5 orders put in for hats and things!!! Can't believe how this is taking off!! I'm so excited that  I am going to be so busy!! And I am also trying to make some stock so that I can post photos so people can see different options and things...that will help out a lot too I think! This way they don't have to guess at what things will look like!! So I am going to be so busy for the next few weeks!!!
I also had someone suggest that I put a booth in one of our local festivals! I would love to do it but like I said I need to get some stock made first...but this is defenitly something to work up towards. If all goes well I might actually have to make this a "business" LOL

Clickity Clack Down the Track

It's been awhile so figured I better update. Been busy with hat making and things!!! Loving it!! Have had many orders put in!!!
I've been doing some research on different things and some people have a binder to keep themselves organized with chores, projects and different things. So I have decided that I think I'm going to make myself a binder!!! I've been printing off sheets to get myself started. Problem is when I start something I think is a good idea I do it for awhile and then it gets left in the dust...guess I just need to keep my self on track!
Also today my best friend Aimie, goes for her surgery. I hope it went well or is going well...not sure of time she was going in. Get lots of rest!! Love ya Girl
It is also her and her hubby Jeremy's anniversary!  Take care of her Jer!!! Congrats you guys!! Love you and miss you!!
Miles may be between us but will never keep us apart!!

Houston, We Have a Problem

I finally decided to buy a printer so that I could So Saturday we went out and got one and brought it home to install onto my computer.
I load the disk, follow the steps and get a page up that tells me the progress of the installation. So I'm watching and it gets to 66% and tells me there is 6 mins remaining. I wait and wait and wait for about 30 mins and still nothing so I go through the proper steps of trying to restart my computer as I figure that it has frozen and will not go on to install this printer. And as I am doing so all of the sudden my screen goes black and has white writing saying that no internal hard drive is detected...WHAT?!?!
It seems that my whole hard drive on my laptop has been wipped out and I don't even have a drive on my computer to look at!!!
I was planning on backing up photos that had not been backed up on Saturday night and then this happens!!! Needless to say those photos did not get backed up and everything I had on my laptop are gone!!!
All of my favourites for the internet, any documents I had no backed up yet, photos, music, everything GONE! :*(
My brother in law and girlfriend came over Saturday night to try to figure it out and they had no such luck. And I was so upset I was crying and just breaking down.
Can't believe that something so small as trying to install a printer can wipe out a hard drive completely!!!
I am not a happy girl.

Dream Big Dream Often

Many of us have little things we want to accomplish in life and many of us have big dreams that we never go for. Well GO FOR THEM! I never thought that my "talent", my passion, my love for crocheting and knitting would lead to me what I am doing today.
Like most, I started out just by doing what I love. I would make blankets for friends who were having babies, or hats for children. Make blankets with my Grandma for the cancer clinic or even for my own children. Just simple things and give as gifts.
Then upon seeing photos of some of the things I've made, I had request as to what it would cost to make them for different indiviuals. Of course, I didn't want to charge for my time because it's something I love doing, so would always reply "Oh just the cost of the yarn!"
Well now it's not "Just the cost of the yarn" I have decided to do this as a "business" for lack of a better word. I'm not making a fortune doing this, just a little extra to help with the bills!
And boy am I busy. Within a day of putting my group up on facebook "I Sit & Crochet" I had a photography business contact me and ask me if I would be interested in making hats for them for their new venture that they are starting and to make photo props for their photo shoots. I jumped at this opportunity and have been busy ever since.
So don't think that the little things you love to do like, making jewlery or crafting or painting or whatever your passion is, can't turn into a big dream and great experience!
I am so happy to be working with RoseLe and so glad that they are giving me the opportuinty to do this and share one of my passions!!!

Bubbles Bubbles Bubbles My Bubbles

Went to go to visit Grandma today! Sawyer wanted to being his bubbles and play with Gram. I left for a few minutes and when I got back they were having so much fun rnning around in the back yard. Ireland was so cute in her yellow dress today!!! I am so blessed with my children and family!!!
Grandma and I did some raking and cleaned up the side of her yard and Sawyer helped pick up sticks!
Was a great day today.
Working on some more hats for friends yet again. Just can't get enough of crocheting right now!! So happy!! Love my CSI and Les xoxo

'cuse Me Dies!!

As I sit on the couch, wondering where to start, my 2.5 year old son is trying to watch Max and Ruby. Our dog, Diesel decides that he is going to stand in front of my son, who is laying on the couch and Sawyer says "'cuse me Dies. I can't see the TV" And Diesel moves and lays down!!!
I chuckle!!! How cute is that...what a good start to our wonderful day we are going to have!!!
I love my kids!!!

Ireland is sitting in her chair playing with heer new baby that we got her yesterday with cute little pigtails in!!!  Eating a pickle!!! YUM YUM

You are my Sunshine

What a beautiful day out!!! While Ireland was having her nap, Sawyer and I went outside so he could ride on his "bike" and then when Ireland got up we all were outside playing!!! Ireland sat in the stroller, while Sawyer and Simon (Landlord's grandson) played. They jumped on the trampoline, played with their bikes, played with trucks and drew with sidewalk chalk!! Had fun!!
Sawyer didn't want Simon to go home! It was so cute! And he defenitly did not want to come inside!

Hope tomorrow is just as nice! We will go outside again!! Beautiful weather for March!!!

Round the Bush, Round the Bush

Yesterday morning my son, Sawyer, decided that I should wake up to him singing and drawing circles on my palm!
Round the bush, round the bush, goes the teddy bear
One step, two step, tickles under there
It was so cute! He sang it to me all day long!
Then this morning he decided that ripping open one of his stuffed animals and throwing the stuffing in the air and saying "Look mom, snow!" was funny...I did not find this funny as it was EVERYWHERE! But he was having fun!!!

Yeah!!! Swing!!!! Slide!!!

Before we went to dry laundry today, Sawyer, Ireland and I decided to go to the little park at the baseball diamond around the corner!
Ireland had fun on the swings and Sawyer had lots of fun on the slides and swings. He was climbing so well and playing on the little drums they have attached to the equipment! Of course he didn't want to leave but we did and went to dry laundry.

Then we went back!!! It was so nice out today thought he would enjoy it!!! Sawyer was so good! Hoping tomorrow is just as nice, thinking of going back!!
Would go back today but it started to rain outside so we won't be going today. Everything will be wet and Sawyer has already been sick so don't want him to get even worse again!

Fly Away Ladybug, Fly Away Home

I dropped off the ladybug hat and back prop for tomorrows photo shoot today. And they loved it!!! I'm so happy cause it took me forever to get it just the way I liked it. 6 to 7 hours to be exact...well not really exact I guess but pretty close! I kept ripping it out because I didn't like the way it was working out. I didn't follow a pattern actually came up with my own!  Looked at a couple of photos and this is what I came up with!!! Pretty happy with it I must say!! Looks pretty cute!!
I have other hat ideas to start working on and ooohhh do they sound like fun!!! Off to bed for another night!!!

Down with the Sickness

Well it's official. Everyone in this household is sick. Started on Monday with poor Sawyer going to ER to find out he has croupe again. But this time it was much worse. They kept us from 12:45am till 8am in the morning. Poor thing kept saying "Hold me Momma, Go home now" Through all his tears and mine too. I felt so bad. They gave him a steroid to help with the swelling in his throat and gave him 2 breathing treatments. They wanted to keep us all day Tuesday but within 10mins of the night doctor coming to see him and then bringing the day doctor he was much better so they sent us home!!! He was so happy to finally go home. They did send the mask they used to give him the breathing treatments with him and he was so happy about that. We walked through the door at home and he showed Dad. he was so proud of it.
Then I started to get a sore throat on Tuesday night and woke up Wednesday feeling absolutly horrible. Am still do!! Sore throat, cough, runny to stuffy nose, aches, pains, chills, and no energy!!! Poor Ireland has sniffles, runny nose and a little cough and now Les has got the sore throat and stuffy to runny nose too! I feel so bad because he has to go to work outside all day and I'm sure he doesn't have any energy to do the work he has to do!
I just hope that we all get over this soon and get back to normal!!!
Guess we will all get a lot of rest this weekend and hope that it goes away!!!

Surprise!!!

So I have decided that my group/business is going to be called " I Sit n' Crochet "
Thanks to my Grandma for the help. We went for a drive one day and we were talking about how I wanted to start this business and she came up with the name!!! It encorporates my passions in my life.
I - Ireland
S- Sawyer
C- Colton
and the name says exactly what I do!!! Love it. Those that entered into my little contest I will be contacting to let them know what their "surprise" is!!!
After I decided on the name, I started to create my group/business on Facebook and the next day I had a message from RoseLe. They were interested in my work and wanted to know if I would like to create things for them! I am so happy! Can't believe I didn't think about doing this earlier!!! Well I'm off to make some creations!!!

Business Naming

Ok so I am new to this...first time trying to do this "Blog" thing. SO anyone with tips or tricks please feel free to message me and let me know!!! Thanks in advance!
So I have decided to try and start a small business with one of my passions in life! Crocheting and knitting. I make hats, scarves, mitts, blankets, wash clothes, baby shoes, etc...
And I am having a hard time coming up with a name for my group on "Facebook"
I am running a contest for people to give me suggestions and whoever wins (if I choose their idea) wins a selection of their choice!! I have also put in my two cents and if I go with one of mine all who have suggested a name may get a surprise!!!
But my 2 1/2 yr old is running around and it's 11:41pm so I must go and try to get him to sleep!! Night all!!!
